Prescribing in Nevada? AB 474: What You Need to Know

on December 30, 2017

Effective January 1, 2018, Nevada AB 474 REQUIRES practitioners who intend to prescribe/dispense Schedule II, III or IV medications:

BEFORE prescribing, complete a Patient Risk Assessment validated through peer-reviewed research to assess the patient’s mental health, risk of abuse, dependence, and addition.

PRESCRIBING AFTER 90 DAYS, complete another Patient Risk Assessment.
Failure to comply may be deemed a misdemeanor and result in disciplinary actions, including fines.

SpecialtyHealth endorses Priska to provide an internet-based product to ease the burden of AB 474.
